Write in Candidate for Minnesota State Senate District 65
People First. Lives Over Politics.
Hello, my name is Natasha Bennett, and I am running for Minnesota State Senate District 65 because I believe it is time to put people before politics and human lives before political interests.
I grew up in Saint Paul in a single-parent household with a mother who struggled with addiction. Later, I faced my own battles with addiction, housing instability, and generational barriers. I know what it means to struggle, to need help, and to fight for a better future.
But my struggles did not define me. I overcame those barriers, became a homeowner, earned a master's degree in public and Nonprofit Administration, established a nonprofit, and built a career in addiction counseling, behavioral health, real estate, and affordable housing development.
Saint Paul is home. From Jimmy Lee Recreation Center to Rondo, Frogtown, and riding the Route 16 bus down University Avenue, I know this community because I grew up here, struggled here, and worked to build a better life here.
Through my personal and professional experiences, I have seen how our housing, health care, criminal justice, education, and government systems often fail the very people they were created to serve. Too many of these systems have become increasingly inhumane, leaving families struggling and people without the support they desperately need.
People are suffering. People are dying. And we cannot continue accepting the status quo.
I have been a DFL voter my entire life, but my loyalty is to the people. I am running to challenge policies that harm our communities, introduce legislation that creates real solutions, and fight for affordable housing, accessible health care, mental health services, economic opportunity, public safety, and government accountability.
I know what it means to need a second chance, and I believe everyone deserves an opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances or past mistakes.
I am not running to become part of the political establishment. I am running to change how government serves the people.
This campaign is not just about me. It is about us, our families, our neighborhoods, and the lives we can save when we stand together.
Will you stand in this fight with me? I need your help, your voice, and your support.
My Seat Is Your Seat. People First. Always.

People First. Not Political Endorsements or Special Interests.
Year after year, our communities hear the same promises of change, opportunity, and better lives. Political organizations and powerful interests endorse candidates, often with their own priorities and agendas. But an endorsement does not guarantee accountability to the people.
Meanwhile, too many families continue to struggle. People are falling through the cracks, facing homelessness, addiction, mental health crises, poverty, and preventable loss of life. We cannot keep repeating the same promises while our neighbors are left behind.
Natasha Bennett believes leadership should be earned through service, not determined by political insiders or the number of endorsements a candidate receives. She believes elected officials must answer to the people they represent, not the organizations or special interests that support them.
How many more election cycles will pass before promises become action? How many more lives must be lost before we put people first?
This is about more than politics. It is about human lives, dignity, accountability, and changing systems that are failing our communities.
People are suffering. Lives are at stake. The people deserve more than another political promise.
My Seat Is Your Seat. People First. Always.
